Cosmeston

In the drizzle this morning, counted 24 flower spikes of Bee Orchid in East Paddock Cosmeston. They seem a bit earlier than usual - the Common Spotteds are only just coming out. Bird wise pretty quiet. Couple of Reed Warblers singing in E lake reeds and Blackcaps still singing everywhere. Did see a Song Thrush carrying food and a Robin so they've bred somewhere behind W lake. Also somewhat unusually a Shelduck dropped in on E lake.
