Cosmeston

There was an Ad winter Med Gull on the W lake posts this morning until all the gulls there flushed. Many came back but it wasn't with them. Assume it was out in the middle of W lake with lots of other gulls - mainly Black-headed.
I heard a Gt Spotted Woodpecker drumming a couple of times in the edge of Cogan Wood near the dragonfly pond, and a Green Woodpecker was calling somewhere.

Cosmeston

An overwintering Chiffchaff was in trees & bushes along the concrete path past the Medieval Village this morning. Pochard number around 22 and Tufties c.100 the vast majority of which are males.

Thought the following looked like an Owl hiding in a tree!

Cosmeston

A very smart Pochard x Tufted duck drake hybrid was in the bay at the RH end of W lake this morning. The only other thing of note was a Green Woodpecker in W paddock which flew into an adjacent tree, and another was heard calling.
