Cosmeston

Surprise this morning was a nice Cuckoo on the fence posts of the 'snipe paddock'. Took lots of shots as I tried to carefully stalk it using the opposite hedge as something to creep along close to without breaking the sky line. This is the best of the shots I got when I was as close as I dared without flushing it. It's still quite a crop as you can see compared to the original below it. Also present a fem Mallard with 8 very small ducklings on W lake and 7 Black-headed Gulls, the first since the winter. An ad Grey Heron was in a tree by the main bridge.
