Well the warm sunny weekend brought the usual results. Today, W lake had many floating plastic bottles, cans, plastic containers, and two life saving rings which had been chucked in the water. Why are there so many people who have no respect for their, or others, surroundings? They arrive prepared to carry huge amounts of food, drink etc to various parts of the park, then can't be a***d to carry the far less heavy remains of their picnic away with them.
Alarmingly, on Sat, I think it was [heard this from someone else], an older guy was riding his bike thro' the park and was subjected to a unprovoked attack in which he sustained broken ribs and his bike was taken. Words fail me.

A pair of GCGs are nest building on W lake. A Lesser Whitethroat was singing in the open in the hedgerow of W paddock.
