Lavernock LNR

Passerines - zilch due to this pesky wind! However an Arctic Tern was feeding inshore in St Mary's Well Bay. The main stiles are being replaced by galvanised metal kissing gates.

GBC monthly walk. 1 Swallow E. Lake, 20-30 Chiffchaff, 6+ Willow Warbler incl 2 in song, 3 m Blackcap incl 1 in song, pair of Sparrowhawk displaying over west paddock, 5 Fieldfare lingering in W paddock, Nuthatch singing in Cogan Wood and a G S 'Pecker drumming there. Also 1 active Rooks nest - rather odd as for the last 2 yrs the prev rookery of c.40 nests has been abandoned.
