Cosmeston

A quick walk round Cossie this morning: drake Lesser Scaup showing v well by shoreline on W lake together with c.180 Tufties and a drake Pochard. Also 3 Wigeon there [2m, 1f] and 6 Gadwall. A further 40+ Tufties on E lake. Grey Wagtail in the new wet area by the Med Village access boardwalk and several Reed Bunt and a couple of Redwing.

Cosmeston

GBC monthly walk with 7 participants. Highlights - Grey Wagtail, 13 Gadwall [pretty sure this is a record for Cossie], 1 drake Shoveler, the usual Tufties, male Sparrowhawk, a few Redwing and Fieldfare, 2prs Bullfinch, Common Gull, Green Woodpecker, and also a Kingfisher seen W lake by Lol Middleton.

A pristine ad Yellow-legged Gull on E. Lake, 24 Canadas, 46 Mute Swan, 6 Gadwall W. Lake, total pof c.60 Tufted Ducks, mostly drakes. No Lsr Scaup with them. Also 4 GCG and a Little Grebe. Where are all the Pochard this winter?

Cosmeston

A brief family walk so no time to note stuff in detail but an ad Yellow-legged Gull was on E lake, and there were 6, possibly 8 Gadwall on W lake, 2 Little Grebe, 2 GCG and the usual tufteds.
