Cosmeston

A Kumliens type Iceland Gull was seen briefly on E lake yesterday by Glamorgan Bird Club gull guru Dave Rich. Sadly it had gone by the time I got down there after he'd 'phoned me. Keep yr eyes peeled though. For non gull buffs, you're looking for a biggish gull, about the size of a Lesser Black-back, with v pale grey upper parts and upper wings, and v pale wing tips [i.e. no black as in Herring Gull] but some pale grey marks on the tips of the primaries, the same shade as the mantle. Will look v ghostly in flight.
