Lavernock Point

A nice walk around the point this am was very pleasant indeed. Lots of hirundines moving, with c800 swallows and c650 house martins and a max of 10 sand martins. A large number of mixed corvids were feeding in the stubble fields including a single rook, in with these were a few sky larks and meadow pipits. Very quiet in the bushes however with just a single common whitethroat & blackcap, 3 chiffchaffs and the highlight a grasshopper warbler in the second stubble field. A few goldfinches overhead.
Leps: Red Admiral (1) with large and small white.
