Lavernock

pretty quiet in the settled weather.
Lavernock reserve - pr Bullfinch, 1 Buzzard, small flocks of Chaffinch & Goldfinch, fem Blackcap.
Lavernock Pt & coast path - pr Bullfinch, 30 Goldfinch, 20 Chaffinch, 1 Sky Lark, Mistle Thrush, m+f Blackcap.
Poss the most exciting thing was an old twin prop US Army marked aircraft which flew over from the W [presumably Rhoose or St Athan]. Wasn't quick enough to get camera out, lens cap off and unlock zoom :-( It was a handsome craft. About 1/2 way in size betw Hurricane & Lancaster. US Army written under the L wing, stars on the wing ends. Tail comprised a wing with two small vertical tail fins at the distal ends & no central tail fin.

Ta Paul. Hmmm similar but that looks quite big - I don't recall that much glassware at the front.
