Lavernock Point

The wind being WNW and clear there wasn't too much moving, however Crossbill (3, >N) & Redpoll (2) were bonus birds. Chiffchaff (1) & Swallow (2) were the only summer migrants. Not much else: Goldcrest (5), Coal Tit (1) & Jay (2).
Late news for 15th at Lavernock from GNS: Wood Lark & Hawfinch.
Note: I see the farmer has now mulched the big field and others inland, so ploughing will follow hopefully - which usually means birds dropping in whilst on passage to feed.
